MV Electric focuses heavily on a safe work environment, understanding the inherent dangers that exist in the work that we do. We provide our employees specialized preliminary training, along with a continuing focus on training in areas of electrical construction, such as NFPA 70e Arc Flash, Lock/Out-Tag/Out, and OSHA’s 10 Hour for Construction training. Project superintendents will typically have attended the OSHA 30 Hour class, as well as the OSHA 10 Hour class. Quarterly safety meetings are held with all office and field employees in attendance or by conference call. Weekly “Tool Box Sessions” are held at the individual projects, with predetermined topics distributed to each site, along with an opportunity for the employees to communicate any safety concerns they may have or encountered.
MV Electric provides their employees the necessary personal protective equipment required to perform their jobs safely and efficiently, while repeatedly stressing to each project foreman and superintendent, to continually plan ahead in a constant effort to avoid unsafe working conditions.
